Skills post 3

These days, students go to lots of camps. For example, my friend went to the Philippines and my sister went to the Yunse University camp. Also, I'm in a camp now too! Like this, there are lots of camps that we could learn lots of subject. Today! I will compare and contrast two camps which is Ranch West Camp and Head Start Splash.

The Ranch West Camp is opened in Canada for four weeks. In this camp, we can choose the subject we want. Also, we do home stay.
The second camp, Head Start Splash is opened near the island of Cebu, Philipenes for five weeks which is kind of long.  In addition, we can stay in an apartment with our families.

These two camps have lots of similarities and differences. The similarities are that we could learn English and we stay for over 3weeks. However, the Ranch West Camp stays for four weeks in Canada but the Head Start Splash stays for five weeks near the island of Cebu, Philipenes. Also, the Ranch West camp does homestays but the Head Start Splash stays with their families in a small apartment.

Like these reasons, there are similarities and differences that we can compare and contrast. I think that the Ranch West Camp is much better than the Head Start Splash in that we can choose the subject we want. But, these two camps will both be a fun camp!!!

Skills post 2

The normal article:    Super Junior, the K-pop group leading “hallyu” (the Korean wave of popular culture) across the globe, returned to the local music scene with their fifth studio album, “Mr. Simple,” last week.

“Mr. Simple,” the title of the song as well as the album, is a catchy tune conveying a message of living in a simple way.
Leeteuk, the group leader said "Mr. Simple" maximizes the characteristics of the group.

"Rather than define the genre of the music, we focused on the lyrics. There is so much terrifying, sad news on television and in the newspapers, and we wanted to bring hope with our song," he said at a press conference last week.

Their fourth album, Bonamana, was a big success. It was the biggest-selling album in Korea last year and drew and audience of some 200,000 people to their "Super Show 3" concerts in 13 Asian cities. "Bonamana" has topped Taiwan's KKBOX music chart for 61 consecutive weeks.

However, the new album is ready to break previous records. Their fifth studio album sold more than 60,000 copies in the five days since its release on Aug. 3, a relatively high amount for the local music scene. Some fans bought 10 copies of the new album as there are 10 different album covers featuring photos of each member. The album will be released in 11 countries.

Among the tracks of the new album, members showed affection in songs like “Good Friends,” written by Yoon Jong-shin.
“The song talks about our friendship. Yoon said we have grown up over the years,” Leeteuk said.

The press conference was international and tech-savvy, just like Super Junior. Reporters from Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and China asked questions about concerts in their countries and some overseas fans submitted questions for the group through YouTube and Facebook.

Ira Belyakova, a 23-year-old fan from Russia, asked how the group feels about non-Asian fans. Leeteuk said he feels good as he is proud of being at the center of developing Asian culture.

"I was afraid of foreigners when I was young, but seeing overseas fans often made me overcome such fears," Eunhyuk said. Ryeowook also shared an experience of meeting fans from Spain seated at Sungmin's musical.

The K-pop group is eager to hold more overseas concerts as the nation’s leader in hallyu.

"We met more than 500,000 fans through our concerts in Asia. We want to visit South America, Europe and the Middle East to hold Super Junior concerts, not only an SM Town concert," Leeteuk said. "Personally, I also want to perform in Pyongyang, for a peace exchange between the South and North Korea."

My paraphasing(paragraph4) :  Super Junior's fourth album, Bonamana had a successful progress. It was the album that was sold the biggest in Korea last year. Audiences of some 200,000 were drew to their "Super Show 3" concerst in 13Asian cities. "Bonamana was maintained in the Taiwan's KKBOX music chart for 61 weeks.

Girl's generation ranked on Japan's Oricon Chart the first day they released their Japan's new album.
They sold 73,583 copies on the first day and they ran to the peak of the Girls’ Generation ranked number one in Japanese Oricon Chart on June 1st, the day their first Japanese original album was released. The SM enteratainment said that the girl's generation's album reservation was dominated before the album was released. About 50,0000 copies were made which was a unprecedentedly high number, even compared to other Japan singers.  Girls’ Generation also had the first two concerts of “Girls’ Generation Arena Tour 2011” at Osaka on May 31st and June 1st, sending some 20,000 fans wild. The concerts will continue, touring six Japanese cities and singing to 140,000 fans. They will also participate in the “MTV Video Music Aid Japan,” which runs in Makuhari Messe located at Chiba, on the 5th of this month.

Paraphasing Shark attacks!(paragraph 3)

Receiving an electric shock is more likely to be effected than a shark attack. In the coastal states of the US, about 180 people get shocked by the electric lightning but only 11 people are attackted by sharks. Also, just 1person in those 11people will be mortal.

Bear attacks summarizing

Hello! Good evening! Today, I'll summarize the article, "Bear attacks" which is our skill posts.
.
.
.
.
.
Some people that went hiking to North America, they might have seen a bear or bears attacking them. However, bears are more scared to people than people scared to bears. People think that bears will attack people easily but it is wrong! Bears attack people when the people run away from it but if we stay calm, bears will not attack us. It is more likely to die in a car accident on your way to the woods than the bear attacking us. Also, in the Yellowstone National park in the U.S, some statistics show us that we are more likely to get drowned than getting attacked by bears. In addition, another statistic says that between 1839 and 1994, 101 people died from drowning but only 5 people died by bears.
But, if we are still scared of   bear attacks, there are some ways to prevent it. It is better to go on a travel in a group, not alone. Also, if we stay calm when the bear comes, we will be safe. If we run away from them we will get hurt by bears.

But in these people, I have a person that I really admire and who I like. It's Bill Gates. Bill Gates is the owner of the microsoft company which is the best software we use in the computer. Bill Gates was a normal child like others but he was a blunt child. Bill Gates didn't like to talk with his families and he just wanted to live alone. However, his father was very mad at his behaviors so he spoiled water to Bill Gates face. From this event, Bill Gates got shocked so he started to learn things. His favorite thing to do was doing the computer by himself. He got inspired from his father so he started to study about computers. He studied very well and he went to Harvard University. He started to create his own company with his friend, Paul Allen.
Gates stepped down as chief executive officer of Microsoft in January 2000. He remained as chairman and created the position of chief software architect. In June 2006, Gates announced that he would be transitioning from full-time work at Microsoft to part-time work, and full-time work at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He gradually transferred his duties to Rachief software architect, and Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer. Gates' last full-time day at Microsoft was June 27, 2008. He remains at Microsoft as non-executive chairman.
I can't believe that he has 56billion dollars and I can't believe that he went to Harvard University. My goal is to go to Harvard University and I want to study hard too. From now on! I will study very very very very very very very very hard and go to Harvard University and live happily ever after!
